Get active for animal welfare with The Pet Project Malaysia 2012

Dancing to the groove and like to move it, move it? That’s what a lot of us like to do (shhhh). But, instead of keeping it a secret from everyone, why not channel all those dance moves into doing something good for unwanted pets? Keeping active for a good cause sounds like something we’d definitely do! If you think you’re a good dancer, why not showcase your dance moves at the Pet Project Malaysia 2012? :D

That’s right. Animal welfare has long been a touchy issue in Malaysia, with cases of animal abuse and mistreatment happening so often. Animals are supposed to be loved and cherished rather than abused, right? How can anyone bear to abuse this cute little cat? He’s just so adorable!

But that’s what the Pet Project Malaysia 2012 is here for.

With the intention to promote awareness through positive and proactive ways, the Pet Project Malaysia 2012 aims to raise funds to support the various animal welfare NGOs in Malaysia and to create a platform to educate the public about the cause of these NGOs as they protect and care for unwanted and stray animals.

The brainchild of Ms Sabrina Saw, the Pet Project Malaysia 2012 is a 12-hour “Get Active” marathon to raise awareness for animal welfare and funds for animal shelters to care for the animals under their roof.

The main highlight of this project comprised of dance, fitness and sports-based classes. These classes are taught by professional renowned performers and trainers from all over the world, which also showcases the brightest young talents in Malaysia.

Besides the main event, there will also be a sports carnival with face painters, ball jugglers and clowns for the younger crowd. A rock climbing wall, aptly named ‘Climb For A Life’ will also be available for the more adventurous amongst you. Football fans will have the chance to take part in a futsal collection as well as Asia’s Largest Football Card Montage. There will definitely be something for everyone! :D

Do expect a lot on-going entertainment, fun activities like rugby drills, and not-to-be-missed a two-hour rhythm tap workshop with the famous Malaysian personality Jojo Struys! Are you getting excited already? =D

We at Nuffnang are proud to be part of this worthy cause and we just want to share this meaningful project with our lovely Nuffnangers.
