Picture this: you and your friends are ready to pack up to go to a secluded lake to have some fun in the sun, but instead you find yourselves being the special of the day on a shark’s lunch menu.

Insanely freaky?

Man-eating predator movies are always irresistible to many of us for many reasons. But what happens when you combine Jaws and Piranha under the direction of the guy who brought us Final Destination 2 and 4? You’d think it’d be a lot better. Hit the jump to find out as Shark Night 3D swims in to our theatres this October!

Synopsis

A sexy summer weekend turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a group of college students hunted by blood-thirsty underwater predators in Shark Night 3-D, a terrifying thrill-ride featuring a red-hot young cast.

Arriving by boat at her family’s Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara (Sara Paxton) and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik (Sinqua Walls) stumbles from the saltwater lake with his arm torn off, the party mood suddenly darkens. Nick (Dustin Milligan), a shy pre-med student, finds himself taking charge—administering first aid and informing Sara they don’t have a minute to spare to get Malik to a hospital on the other side of the lake.

Setting out in a tiny speedboat, the college friends quickly discover the lake has been stocked with hundreds of massive, flesh-eating sharks. When the boat malfunctions in mid-trip, marooning them without medical care or a way to call for help, they are shocked to find that it has been deliberately sabotaged. As they face one gruesome attack after another, it becomes frighteningly clear that someone is engineering a deadly plot aimed at killing them all. With their options for rescue dwindling, Sara and the others struggle to fend off the sharks, get help and stay alive long enough to reach the safety of dry land.

The director David R. Ellis knows a thing or two about killing people in extraordinary situations and he specializes in fun, exciting thrillers and realizes the importance of shooting them in 3D. This is yet another terrifying thrill ride from director David R.Ellis of The Final Destination franchise, where a sexy summer weekend turns into a blood-soaked nightmare for a gang of college students trapped on an island surrounded by underwater predators.

The cast is obviously a big group of hotties: Sara Paxton, Christine Quinn, Chris Carmack from The O.C, Chris Zylka, and Joel David Moore from Avatar. You know you want to watch this and thanks to Sony Pictures Malaysia, 50 Nuffnangers will be given the opportunity to watch a group of college friends trapped in a boat on a lake filled with massive, hungry, flesh-eating sharks on;
