Question: What’s the world’s most loved black brew – one of the most successful beer brands worldwide, brewed in almost 50 countries and sells 1.8 billion pints annually? If you answered “Guinness”, you’d be absolutely correct!
We all love kicking back with our friends, a pint of freshly poured Guinness in hand, don’t we? And what else brings people together like Guinness? Music, of course! :D
More than 250 years ago, Arthur Guinness signed a 9,000 year lease on the famous St. James’s Gate brewery in Dublin, Ireland. Ever since, millions and millions of pints have been savoured, toasts have been made, and what better way to honour the man who started it all with an epic celebration of global proportions?
So began the annual Arthur’s Day celebrations, which first started in 2009! This September, the third annual Arthur Guinness Day will be surging around the globe, beginning in Ireland and Europe across to the USA and the Caribbean and finally ending in Malaysia. Kicking off at 17:59 GMT on 22nd September 2011, it’s 24 hours of global celebrations and live music events to mark yet another great year of Guinness goodness.
Come one, come all and join the worldwide celebration with Arthur’s Day 2011!
